Manhattan Day School seeks an organized, intelligent, motivated, personable, and creative
person to help execute advancement strategy. Primary responsibilities include recruitment,
development, event planning, community relations, alumni engagement, and database
management. This position will report to the Director of Advancement, with room to grow
to a director level position.

What You’ll Do:
● Plan and execute events for alumni, parents, grandparents, and the wider
community, including event logistics, event marketing and PR, sponsorship
solicitations, and budget management.
● Serving as point for all alumni engagement
● Liaise with lay leaders, volunteers and staff to implement projects
● Create and maintain annual calendar of all Development and community
engagement activities, including Parents Council
● Maintain donor and recruitment database
● Work on recruitment and community events, including but not limited to: Open
House, Annual Dinner, and community and grandparent programming
● Conduct outreach to new sources for enrollment
● Create database of prospective students and families by working with feeder
schools and synagogues; coordinate applicant follow up
● Update admissions and development related website content

What You Need:
● Outgoing and pleasant demeanor with a commitment to community building
● Demonstrated ability to prioritize amongst multiple commitments, and to drive
multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
● A deep commitment to confidentiality, high quality stakeholder service and
adaptability to evolving needs
● Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; knowledge of Hebrew

Who you are:
● Someone with a B.A./B.S. and 1-3 years experience in non profit work, recruitment,
fundraising, marketing, event planning, communication, or a similar field.
● Someone with a strong work ethic, who demonstrates energy, proactivity, flexibility,
excellent time-management skills, an excellent attitude and collaborative skills, as well as a willingness to learn new processes and tools.
● Familiarity with the landscape of Jewish private schools

Salary range is $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience.
