Magen David Yeshivah is looking for Full-Time Science Teacher STEM for Grades 6-8 for the 2025-2026 school year at our Brooklyn school.
Our school is located in South Brooklyn. The school year is consistent with the Jewish calendar and closed during the summer.
Position Summary:
In a classroom environment, Teachers will plan and supervise a warm, nurturing developmentally appropriate environment for the development of the whole child while practicing Magen David Yeshivah’s high level of care and educational standards.
Responsibilities:
Head Teacher will design and maintain a classroom environment that facilitates active, hands-on learning, group management, self-expression and choice, and inclusion of all children, parents, volunteers and staff.
Will also need to prepare Science Labs
Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress.
Evaluate each student’s growth in knowledge and skills in the course being taught.
Qualifications:
Head teacher should have a Master’s Degree
Special education experience would be preferred
Possibly including teaching Science children with special needs
Priority will go to candidates who have Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology or Math) and enrolled in a Master’s program, have Bachelor’s degree in STEM with a NYS teaching certificate or have a Master’s degree in STEM.
