The Middle School Rosh Beit Midrash will lead engaging and thoughtful lessons that encourage critical thinking, open discussion, and a lifelong love of learning. We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable in Judaic texts, is a role model of Orthodox Jewish observance and is also skilled in creating a vibrant classroom environment that celebrates learning and curiosity.
Our Beit Midrash program consists of a select group of students with the required skill-set and motivation to be in this intensive and challenging Judaic studies program. This selective group is motivated and committed to textual study as the basis for growing their understanding and appreciation of their Jewish heritage. During these formative years in Middle School, the students will have the invaluable opportunity to engage closely with their studies under the guidance of the Middle School Rosh Beit Midrash. The Rosh Beit Midrash will provide not only academic instruction but also serve as a spiritual mentor, helping students to explore their Jewish identity and nurture their personal growth over the course of three transformative years.
The middle school Beit Midrash curriculum introduces students to Mishnah and Talmud in addition to strengthening their Torah skills by introducing them to a variety of commentators. The Rosh Beit Midrash program has the opportunity and responsibility of teaching all Beit Midrash classes effectively looping with their students for three years.
