Position Description
Shalhevet High school is seeking a Hebrew Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The Hebrew Language Teacher possesses advanced, superior, or native-speaking Hebrew skills, and is able to implement multiple teaching approaches. The ideal candidate is familiar with best practices in teaching Hebrew as a second language, including a proficiency approach, and has experience using differentiated instruction. The Hebrew teacher will work together with a team to develop an exciting, meaningful, innovative, and creative curriculum.

Part-time and full-time positions are available. Part time teachers will teach 2-3 sections, full time teachers teach 4-5 sections. Salary range is $30,000 – $75,000 depending on number of courses and candidate’s experience.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of teaching
BA required
Master’s degree preferred but not required
Be a proven collaborator who can contribute to the team and incorporate feedback into teaching practice.
Growth mindset

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Familiarity and experience in teaching Hebrew as a second language; proficiency approach is preferred.
Knowledge of future-ready/21st-century skills and success in implementing them in the classroom.
Familiarity with best practices for student engagement and classroom management.
