Westchester Torah Academy (WTA) is a leading Orthodox Yeshiva Day School in New Rochelle, NY, serving children 8 weeks through 8th grade in a state-of-the-art campus. WTA was founded 12 years ago as a trailblazing school committed to academic excellence in both Judaic and secular studies, integrating Torah values into every aspect of school life. Our Early Childhood program combines the Montessori method with a strong foundation in Jewish life and practice.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Early Childhood Director to lead and manage our full-day programs for infants through kindergarten. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director will ensure the success of our Jewish-Montessori curriculum, foster strong relationships with families, and uphold the core values of our school. This role requires expertise in both Montessori philosophy and Jewish tradition.

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the Early Childhood, including family communication, Montessori and Judaics curriculum development, and faculty supervision.
Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and regulations (OCFS, UPK).
Manage the program budget, inventory, and collaborate with Communications Director and Executive Director on grant applications and reports.
Partner with Admissions Director for applicant screening.
Lead, design, and implement recruitment, training, onboarding, and professional development plans for a team of 20+ faculty members.
Integrate Jewish teachings and Hebrew language into daily activities.
Evaluate program outcomes and data and implement strategic plans for growth and improvement.
Coordinate evaluations and student services for all Early Childhood aged children

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, General Education, or related field.
Montessori teaching credentials.
At least 5 years of experience in educational leadership, ideally within an early childhood or Montessori setting.
Strong knowledge of Jewish culture, texts, and Hebrew language.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build effective teams.

Salary & Benefits:
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience.
