Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy in Livingston, NJ seeks a full-time Middle School Director of Student Activities for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, plan and facilitate dynamic, exciting, and engaging programming that elevates students’ Judaic Studies learning to the next level while supporting and building our already-strong and enthusiastic community

  • Teach several classes;

  • Organize and run Shabbatonim;
  • Create holiday-based programming and chessed programming;
  • Organize and run school Maccabiah;
  • Create a calendar of events over the summer for the upcoming academic year, as well as oversee the school wide calendar throughout the year.
  • Communicate about programming with administration, faculty, students, and families, in person, in email, and through social media;
  • Support educational efforts in classrooms by organizing and supervising meaningful trips that support classroom instruction;

  • Demonstrate warmth, collegiality, humor, and industry in interactions with students and colleagues
