The North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) is a co-educational Modern Orthodox Yeshiva that inspires students to become passionate learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and dedicated community members.
We are seeking a caring, experienced and dynamic teacher to join our Elementary school faculty team as a math specialist. An ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of math curricula, and should be skilled at assessing students and analyzing MAP data to drive instruction. The math specialist is responsible for planning lessons, delivering differentiated instruction, assessing student learning, helping students to develop social and emotional competencies, communicating with parents, and collaborating with their colleagues. An ideal candidate will possess a love of teaching math to struggling children and a strong track record of helping students make academic progress.
Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:
*MA degree in education
*A minimum of three years teaching, in an elementary school or middle school setting
*A deep passion and enthusiasm for teaching math
*A teaching philosophy that focuses on growth in academic, social and emotional domains
*A collaborative, teamwork-oriented approach
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary: $60,000-75,000
