I wish David Derovan would give Matthew Miller a little more credit.

Matthew was not looking for a musser shmuze. He is looking for "crazy" midrashim that he can share with students, hopefully to engage them in conversation.

I am sure the intention is to have conversations in order to attempt to understand what the Chazal meant.

How about the history of Og (and his size) and the size of Moshe? Those are pretty crazy and have much to learn from.
