I started Areyvut (www.areyvut.org) in 2002 to address many of the same issues that Shira Hecht-Koller brings up. Areyvut implements a variety of programs including Mitzvah Clowning, chesed fairs, teen philanthropy, National Mitzvah Day and other initiatives at schools, synagoguesÂ…and we offer many free resources including:

Ideas to infuse the chagim with chesed- [www.areyvut.org]
Jewish sources on chesed related topics- [www.areyvut.org]
Profiling teens that have done innovative projects- [www.areyvut.org]
The winners of our contest can inspire & motivate students to action- [www.areyvut.org]

and much more. I look forward to working with anyone on the list that is interested in making the core Jewish values of chesed, tzedakah and tikkun olam come alive in their institutions and communities.
